Student internships

Are you a current student and thinking about interning with County Parks? County Parks accepts internship applications year-round. If you are looking for an internship, follow the instructions below and reach out to us at [email protected].  

Intern fast facts

  • County Parks internships are paid! Pay ranges from $18.54/hour to $42.63/hour depending on the level of internship.
  • Internships can be in the field, in an office, or both! All types of work support the mission and operation of County Parks.
  • During our summer internship cohort program all internships feature:
    • Career-building opportunities, including a resume building workshop and Mock Interviews!
    •  A meet and greet with the Parks Executives, including the Parks Department Director, Deputy Directors and our Financial & Administrative Services Manager.
    • Capstone Projects, including a presentation day at the end of the internship, enabling you to walk away from your time at Parks with project planning experience and a professional presentation under your belt!

Once you have completed and submitted your application, email it to us directly at [email protected]. Don't forget to include the PDF copy of your application along with your name, contact information, and which internship you are interested in and you will hear from us soon.

Intern opportunities

County Parks offers Internship opportunities throughout the year as projects arise. If you are currently looking for an internship reach out to us with your application and area of study and we can circulate your information amongst our management. County Parks offers a robust summer intern cohort program as well so keep a lookout for project descriptions and opportunities which are typically  listed in February.
