Countywide trails

County Parks is charged with planning and implementation of the Countywide Trails Master Plan, which envisions a comprehensive network of regional, sub-regional, and connector trails throughout Santa Clara County. Portions of the Countywide Trails Master Plan are also part of the County's General Plan. Although responsibility for the actual construction and long-term management of each individual trail varies, County Parks provides general oversight and coordination of the overall trails system.
