Overview

Through activities in the ranch area and a visit to the Santa Teresa Spring, students explore the basic needs of people in the past and present, and learn about the area's inhabitants, including Native Americans, Californio ranchers, and the Bernal family.

The field trip aligns with California History-Social Science standards for grades K and 1.
