BARK Ranger

We know many park visitors enjoy County Parks with their furry friends in tow. BARK Ranger was developed as a way to celebrate our four-legged visitors and promote responsible dog use in our parks.
Attend a dog-friendly program or visit a participating County Parks visitor center to learn more about BARK Ranger, and get your pup badged as a BARK Ranger today!
How does my dog become a BARK Ranger?

Step 1
Find a park or event. Potential events will be listed in the Upcoming Events dropdown tab. Park visitor centers where you can find BARK Ranger include the following:
- Almaden Quicksilver
- Anderson Lake
- Calero
- Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch
- Hellyer
- Joseph D. Grant
- Martial Cottle
- Mt. Madonna
- Vasona
Please call ahead to see if the visitor center is open or to find a staff person who can help.
Step 2
Read the BARK Ranger Rules and recite the BARK Ranger Pledge with a Santa Clara County Parks staff person or volunteer (bonus points if your pup can raise their paw, too). Receive your furry friend's badge and certificate!
Step 3
Pick a pet-friendly prize and share your pup's achievement by posting a photo using the #SCCBarkRanger hashtag!
