County Parks offers two model airfields. One airfield is located at the Santa Clara County model airfield at Coyote Creek Parkway. The second location is at Rancho San Antonio County Park under the supervision of Midpeninsula Regional Open Space.
The Santa Clara County model airfield is usable by club members through an approved annual permit provided by County Parks to the local club Santa Clara County Model Aircraft Skypark (SCCMAS) "Tomcats". Visit the SCCMAS website for membership, rules and regulations, and further information. More information about permits can be found on our permits information page.
Rancho San Antonio County Park provides non-gas-powered model airplane enthusiasts a staging area adjacent to the parking lots near the park entrance for take-offs and landings and fly their aircraft above the South Meadow area. Visit the Rancho San Antonio Preserve website for rules and regulations, and further information.
