Disc golf is a flying disc game in which individual players throw a flying disc at a basket. According to the Professional Disc Golf Association, "The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc." The number of disc golf courses doubled in the 8 years between 2000 to 2008. The game is played in 40 countries around the world!
The local disc golf club Silicon Valley Disc Golf Club (SVDGC) has an approved permit to maintain each course at Stevens Creek and Hellyer County Park and all courses are open for the public to enjoy. For more information about the maintenance work the club does and the courses themselves visit SVDGC's website.
