Construction and Design services efficiently and effectively plans and carries out the Department’s major and minor construction projects from design to delivery keeping customer service in mind. The team ensures that park facilities are well designed, preserved, and built to endure, serving generations to come. All design and construction services projects seek to balance development with resource preservation, protection and/or sustainability goals, including fiscal, natural, and cultural considerations.    

Construction and Design services, internally or through oversight of consultant teams facilitates, plans, programs, designs, and develops planning and construction documents for capital projects; releases projects for bid; secures contractor services; and oversees construction work including inspections and final acceptance. Design and construction services staff serves as a resource to assist in scoping, cost estimating, and executing minor construction projects.
