The Parks Environmental Health and Safety team works behind the scenes to develop, coordinate, and oversee the department-wide regulatory compliance and environmental health and safety programs. They are also responsible making sure our parks are supplied with clean, safe drinking water through on-site treatment and distribution systems.

Environmental Health and Safety staff acts as a consultant to the Department in regulatory interpretation, policy development, and safety related matters. The programs main goals are to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and keep the community and our staff safe by implementing policies and procedures consistent with the County’s Injury and Illness Prevention Plan.
